These two books along with my Morse Code key we my constant companions for a couple months. My dadhelped me and he got his license about three months after I did.  We never got mom licensed but she knew the theory from making LOTS of "flash cards".  The radio pictured below gave us lots of inspiration to get licensed as well as an endless source for Morse Code practice.
